Community Center News and Notes

Have a chance to win 10 lobsters. Join the great fundraising raffle for the benefit of the community center. Tickets are $10 each or you can buy three for $20. All proceeds will go to the Community Center. If you come from afar and you win, we will send them to you for free. Tickets are available at the Farmer’s Market or from our volunteers, and of course, at the Center until July 1st when the draw takes place.

On Wednesday, June 22, prominent antiques appraiser Richard Plunkett will present his Yellow Brick Road Show at the Centre. Beginning at 2:15 p.m., those who have reserved seats in advance will bring in their antiques or collectibles to be identified and verbally appraised. It’s an exciting opportunity to learn about art and artifacts from the past and to meet other people who enjoy collecting unusual items. Please call the Center to let us know you are coming. 633-9876.

Lucy Cressey and her genealogy club will meet throughout the summer. It is scheduled four times – once a month. Check the calendar.

At this time, we continue to require masks and we also ask that you practice social distancing. We appreciate your cooperation with us as we try to keep a safe place for people to gather.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook. From time to time, we post promotional items and announcements about special activities and events.
