The B-21 class of the Laredo College Regional Law Enforcement Academy was honored on December 17 for completing their intense training.
Laredo’s cadet officer Jesus R. Ramirez also received the academic excellence award. He was honored to have received this distinction in his class. The Top Gun Award was received by Jaime Rivera of the Zapata County Sheriff’s Office for his gun proficiency and safe handling of guns. The Cadet Mentor Award is another award given at the end of the semester and is unique in that this winner is selected by his or her peers. The recipient of this award was Jesus R. Ramirez. The Iron Eagle Award is a special recognition given to the cadet who has demonstrated an overall balance of skill and leadership. This special recognition was given to Gustavo Villarreal. The Fitness Excellence awards for this class went to Luis Ferdin and Viridiana Hernandez.
