PHILADELPHIA CREAM, July 20, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The city of Philadelphia has been disproportionately affected by the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city is facing unprecedented levels of gun violence, food insecurity has increased dramatically, trauma has intensified in many homes, and services in schools have declined. Witnessing this in their community, Zach and Julie Ertz and the Ertz Family Foundation got into action with Grace and Peace Community Fellowship to launch the House of Hope project.

“We are eternally touched by all the love and support we have received since we began our mission to give back to the community in 2018. The House of Hope is our most important effort to illuminate courage and indomitable determination of the “City of the Fraternity”. Love. ”This strength has been the foundation upon which we stand so compelled to use our voices and our platform to serve. that of Philadelphia disadvantaged young people and families ”, Zach Ertz Explain.

Through the foundation’s connection to the pastor Rob whitmire, the Pastor of Grace and Peace Community Fellowship and Executive Director of Timoteo SportsIt was realized that the Ertz Family Foundation’s mission to provide a lasting place of hope and refuge aligns perfectly with Pastor Rob’s own mission of serving the city. The House of Hope project is the next step in this aligned vision to do God’s work, to renovate the Grace and Peace Community Fellowship building, a church sanctuary at its heart, and to provide endless possibilities in many spaces. inside the building, thus providing the necessary services. and programs in the Hunting Park section of North Philadelphia.

To achieve this, the Ertz Family Foundation announces the launch of a $ 900,000 fundraising campaign fundraising to support required renovations, general operating costs and future programming expenses for the Grace and Peace community’s House of Hope project. With a solid plan in place, established partners like Zatos Investments and Gnome Architects, strong community support and the generosity of the business and individual community, the Grace and Peace building will be transformed into a place of hope and faith. This sanctuary will offer a multitude of services and resources to the surrounding community.

“To begin our fundraising efforts, Zach and I made a commitment $ 100,000 to help fund the Youth Leadership Development Center which will be located in the House of Hope. The Ertz Family Foundation graciously matched our donation and partnered with the generosity of our corporate patrons and individual donors, including Chegg, Camille Fishel, Genre Chrissy, and the Emerald Foundation, we have now collected $ 450,000 to this project. We are also delighted to announce Comcast’s generosity in committing to connecting the House of Hope as the Comcast Lift Zone. Comcast Lift Zones are secure, WiFi-connected spaces that allow students and adults to connect online for resources, training, job search and more. With your support, we can finance the entire renovation of the building as well as the general operating and programming expenses required for several years ”, explained Julie ertz.

From the start, Zach and Julie have adopted a posture of humility as they strive to learn more about the unique challenges our community faces – as well as to hear the hearts of those who have been here since. What I have seen of this family is a “heart of servants,” which resembles the heart of Christ (Matthew: 20-28). In the name of grace and peace, we thank the Lord for everything what he has done and what lies ahead of us Park. We are grateful that he brought the Ertz family into our lives and made this amazing project a reality to serve him, “added Pastor Rob whitmire.
